Registration

Fjällräven Classic 2012 is held from August 10 – 17. There is a lot of interest in Fjällräven Classic and places are limited to 2000 participants who are split into eight start groups over three days. Register as soon as possible.

Registration Fee to Fjällräven Classic 2012: Adults SEK 1800, Youths (12-16 years of age) SEK 1100, Children (under 12) SEK 400. Payment of the registration fee must be made within 15 days of registration. If payment is not made then your registration will be cancelled.

The registration fee is non-refundable. You can sell your start number via the forum on Fjällräven’s website if you decide to withdraw.

Permission from a parent/guardian is required if you are under 18 years of age.

Send in permission from your parent/guardian to classic@fjallraven.se, and show it when you check in. Fjällräven also needs to be able to contact parents/guardians when you check in.

Included in the application fee is:

• Bus transfer from Kiruna Airport and Kiruna Railway Station to Ripan/Högalidsskolan which is the meeting place for Fjällräven Classic. Transfer is arranged from Thursday the 9th of August.
• Bus transfer from Högalidsskolan to the start in Nikkaluokta the 10th, 11th or 12th of August.
• Transport of one waterproof bag (maximum 60 Litres) from Kiruna/Nikkaluokta to Abisko.
• Map and plastic cover for the map
• Hiking pass
• Gas, petrol or methylated spirit. The gas is Primus gas for stoves with standard screw threads.
• If you use petrol or methylated spirit you have to bring your own bottle.
• Food and bread. The food is freeze-dried meals from Mountain House (www.mountainhouse.com) that are prepared by adding hot water into the package.
• Safety tag – should be attached to your backpack and may be used as an aid for attracting attention in the event of an emergency.
• Fjällräven Classic Trash Bag – a nylon bag where you collect your trash during the walk.

Bus or train transport from Abisko to Kiruna is not included in the application fee.
