Fjällräven has a broad selection of daypacks for all your essentials and they all have one thing in common – a practical, well-thought-out design with multiple pockets and compartments that will help you keep the various items you need throughout the day organised. KÅNKEN TOTEPACKS

Fjällräven’s recent additions to the Kånken family include fantastic new daypacks known as Kånken Totepacks. Available in regular size (14L) and mini (8L), Kånken Totepacks are a special version of Kånken that are both a backpack and a shoulder bag. Use this versatile daypack as a backpack when walking or biking and a shoulder bag when you board a crowded train or bus. The larger Kånken Totepack has a dedicated sleeve with a padded base for a 13” laptop, and as with all iconic Kånkens, both of these are available in a range of our favourite colours.

WHAT KINDS OF DAYPACKS DOES FJÄLLRÄVEN MAKE?

Our daypacks have different functions and styles that can be found across our product families. Our most iconic family of daypacks is of course Kånken, which has an ever-growing range of fantastic, fun and colourful daypacks, bags and accessories, all featuring the characteristic features of the classic model from the 1970s. Many of our other product families also feature daypacks, including High Coast, Skule, Ulvö, Vardag, Norrvåge, Räven and Kajka, among others.

Smaller daypacks for everyday use

A daypack backpack, or daypack rucksack, is the classic way to carry your things with minimal fuss. Fjällräven backpacks are designed for durability and timelessness, so they will last for a long time and never go out of style. They also come with comfortable features like lightly padded and adjustable shoulder straps, as well as multiple compartments and pockets for organised storage of valuables, gear and laptops.

Larger daypacks for hiking and trekking

Owning a practical day hiking pack is a must for all outdoor enthusiasts. Totepacks

A totepack is a light and convenient daypack that you can carry over your shoulder or by the handles. Our totepacks can also be worn as backpacks as they either have backpack straps or the shoulder straps can be converted to carry the bag as a backpack. You can pack it with work or gym gear, a laptop and small purchases, making it the ideal daypack for travel and everyday use.

Hip packs

A hip pack, also known as a fanny pack or bum bag, is a practical little daypack that you can wear around your hips, or across your upper body. Made of durable material, this kind of lightweight daypack is a great way to carry around essentials and high-value items during a day out in the city, or on a hike.

Fold packs

Fold packs make fantastic daypacks as they have the additional functionality of a top that can be folded down and secured in place with straps or buckles. The fold-down top covers the opening to the main compartment and can be used to provide extra pack volume or to secure a sleeping mat or other longer items.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DAYPACK AND A BACKPACK?

A daypack is a smaller backpack with a volume that is suitable to accommodate what you need with you through the day – be it a day at the office, school or out in the forest or mountains. Daypacks also often have multiple carrying systems – e.g. our totepacks can be worn on your back, over your shoulder or carried by hand. Daypacks can range from small hip-packs – also known as fanny packs or bum bags – to larger volume packs with room for a drink bottle, lunch, extra clothing and perhaps a camera or other personal items.

HOW BIG IS A DAYPACK?

Fjällräven’s daypacks range in size from 7 to 35 litres in volume, but are typically about 14-20 litres. Our classic Kånken backpack, for example, is 16 litres, while Kånken Mini is only 7 litres. Daypacks designed for hiking and trekking can be larger; for example Kajka 35 is a trekking daypack with multiple technical features and a capacity for 35 litres of gear.
