Comfort and functionality for the challenging ascent, the exhilarating ride down, and the time in between in the valley. Not surprisingly, I am very excited about this.
*According to old Scandinavian folklore, people who went up into the mountains ran the risk of becoming Bergtagen; ‘taken by the mountains’ and the spirit beings who lived there. When they came back down they were changed forever.

Equally exciting is our partnership with Gore-Tex® the leading authority on waterproof shell materials. Their latest membrane is produced with technology and DWR that does not use PFAS, and still keeps their famous promise ‘Guaranteed to keep you dry®’. This enables us to create Fjällräven shell garments with superior durability and optimal performance – without compromising our conviction to say No to forever chemicals.

Our time-proven Keb range of technical trekking equipment is updated and refined to further push the boundaries for great comfort and functionality, on and off the trail. As I have had the privilege of using some of the new products for a long period of time, (Keb GTX Jacket and Trousers, Keb Fleece Crew Neck and Keb Thermal Wind Jacket) I can attest to their comfort and high performance.
Durability and sustainability.
CSR and sustainability continue to be a high priority. Having said No to PFAS since 2009, we welcome this year’s new legislation in both US and EU that is finally taking the same approach. We will continue to celebrate our successes, but also be unafraid to share our challenges, being mindful that there are few quick fixes in this area of work. Our longstanding belief in durability – creating products that consumers can and want to use for decades, supported by our repairable constructions and our growing repair services, is of the greatest importance from a sustainability perspective. Therefore, Fjällräven durability and the work that goes into it, is an important part of every seasons’ focus areas. I hope you feel as eager about this season as I do. Our long experience of the varying fall and winter conditions and the activities we look forward to at this time of year, are somewhat of a speciality for our brand, and I trust you agree that it shows in our wide range of durable, functional and timeless products.
