Terms and Conditions 
Fjällräven International AB (hereinafter referred to as “Fjällräven”) organises the Fjällräven Classic Sweden (hereinafter referred to as "FC"), a trekking event through Swedish mountains from Nikkaluokta to Abisko with the purpose was to inspire people to get out and discover the beautiful nature. Fjällräven now offers new and existing newsletter subscribers the opportunity to win a full-on experience for the Fjällräven Classic Sweden including the ticket and much more. 8 full-on experiences will be raffled. 
 

 

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully prior to participating in the Fjällräven Classic Sweden Ticket Competition. By participating in the competition, each participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Terms and Conditions. 

 

 

  1. Competition

 This competition is being held by Fjällräven International AB, Box 209, 89125 Örnsköldsvik, Sweden (“Fjällräven”). The competition, which is being staged via the online platforms Facebook and Instagram is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by Facebook or Instagram. All questions, comments and complaints regarding this competition should be sent directly to Fjällräven and not to Facebook or Instagram; this also applies to any claims arising from the staging of the competition.  

 
The competition will take place between April 15, 2024 and ends on April 28, 2024 (“Competition Period”). 

To participate in the competition, you must subscribe to our newsletter before the expiry of the Competition Period. 

By participating in this competition, you declare the following consent to Fjällräven in exchange for the prospect of winning: 

 

I agree that my full name, my specified email address may be used by Fjällräven to send the personalized newsletter by email and that my newsletter behaviour may be analysed to optimize personalized advertising measures. 

 

I give my consent voluntarily. I can revoke my consent at any time with effect for the future and unsubscribe from the newsletters at any time, whereby unsubscribing before April 28, 2024 will result in exclusion from this competition. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. 

 

 

  1. Participation

 A person is only entitled to participate in the competition if all of the following requirements are met: 

 

  • The participating person is a natural person and is at least 18 years of age; 

 

  • The participating person has their permanent place of residence and address in United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany or The Netherlands; 

 

  • The participating person takes part in the competition as a private individual and not as part of their self-employed professional or commercial activity; 

 

  • Employees of the Fjällräven as well as its affiliated companies are excluded from participating in the competition; 

 

  • The participating person has filled out the competition form https://www.fjallraven.com/eu/en-gb/classic-early-access in the period from April 15th to April 28th with the mandatory information first name, surname, country, language and email address as well as confirmed the conditions of participation and registration for the Fjällräven newsletter and sent it by clicking on the "Enter raffle" button; 

 

  • If the participant has not yet subscribed to the Fjällräven newsletter, he or she will receive a newsletter registration link by email after entering the above-mentioned data to the email address provided, which he or she must confirm by April 28th at the latest. By confirming the email address via the registration link, the participant is automatically entered into the prize draw. The Fjällräven confirmation email sent confirms participation in the prize draw. If in individual cases the registration link does not work as described here, please contact us at classic@fjallraven.se. Those who have already subscribed to the Fjällräven newsletter will only receive the Fjällräven newsletter welcome email as confirmation of participation. 

 

All persons registered by April 28, 2024 will automatically be entered into the prize draw, provided that their entries have been confirmed in the manner described above. All unregistered entries will lose their validity on 28th of April. 

 

  1. Execution and Prize

 The 8 (eight) winners will be selected from all participants who register for the Fjällräven newsletter by participating in the competition or who are already registered at the time of participation and do not unsubscribe from the newsletter before April 28, 2024. The draw will take place at the latest on May 5, 2024 by means of a random draw. 

 

The prize includes the following (“Prize”): 

 

  • 1 (one) Fjällräven Classic Sweden 2024 ticket     
  • Travel to and from Sweden      
  • An exclusive training program for multi-day trekking      
  • Train trip to Kiruna with the Trekkers Train (return ticket)     
  • Complete trekking equipment kit      
  • Accommodation and a meal in Kiruna before and after the trek     
  • A trekking guide (who will also help with the planning). 

 

 

1 (one) Prize can be won per participating person. 

 

Under no circumstances will the Prize be paid out in cash. Fjällräven reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Fjällräven´ s control makes it necessary to do so.  

 

 

The Prize cannot be assigned to a third person. 

 

 

  1. Notification

 The 8 winners will be notified of their Prize by email on May 05, 2024 and must complete the Fjällräven Classic registration form to claim the Prize. If a selected winner does not claim the Prize and confirm participation by completing the registration form until 12th of May, then the winner´s Prize will be forfeited and Fjällräven may, at its own discretion, use the Prize for other purposes (e.g. award the Prize to participants who did not win or use it for another competition in accordance with these Terms and Conditions). The email address cannot be changed after participation. 

 

 

  1. Exclusion from participation

 Fjällräven reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition due to violations of the Terms and Conditions of Participation, false information, premature deregistration or non-confirmation of the link to the newsletter, manipulation or use of unauthorized aids. 

 

  1. Premature termination of the application phase

 Fjällräven is entitled to terminate the competition at any time during the Competition Period without prior announcement and without stating reasons. This applies in particular in cases in which it is necessary to end the competition prematurely for organisational or legal reasons. 

 

 

  1. Limitation of liability

 Fjällräven is not liable for damages which could arise in the competition as a result of errors, delays or interruptions in transmission, in case of disruptions in technical equipment and the service, incorrect content, loss, unauthorized disclosure and/or erasure of data, or as a result of viruses or otherwise. Damages which are caused by Fjällräven or its vicarious agents with intent, gross negligence or through the breach of cardinal duties, as well as damages resulting from injury to life, body or health, are not included in the above exclusion of liability.  

 

  1. 8. Final provisions

 If there is reason to assume that a participant or a third party is attempting to manipulate the course of the competition through fraud, deception or deceptive and unsporting actions, Fjällräven reserves the right to exclude the person/persons concerned from the competition its own discretion. Complaints about the operation of the competition must be sent to Fjällräven in written form within 14 days after the problem appeared. The selection of winners is final. There is no legal recourse available. 

 

The competition is carried out exclusively in accordance with Swedish law, regardless of the location/country in which an applicant applies. 

 

Should individual provisions be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid.

  1. b) Collection and processing of your personal data

 

We process the following data from you if you participate in the competition: 

 

  • First name 
  • Surname 
  • Email 
  • Country 
  • Language 

 

We process the personal data you provide based on competition contract concluded with you. The competition contract includes your chance to win one of the Prizes specified by us in return for your consent to receive personalized newsletters by e-mail, including the analysis of newsletter behaviour. 

 

We will process your email address, full name and country to determine and notify the winner. The data will remain stored until the competition has been completed. 

 

We process the personal data (e.g. name, address) provided to us by you in the event of a win exclusively for the purpose of processing the prize. Such data will be deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. 

 

We process your email address, title and your full name to send you the personalized newsletter by email. We analyse your newsletter behaviour in order to optimize our personalized advertising measures. The legal basis for data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. 

 

 

  1. c) Newsletter sent via Emarsys

 

The sending of our newsletter is carried out via the technical service provider Emarsys eMarketing Systems AG Märzstrasse 1, A-1150 Vienna (“Emarsys”), to whom we pass on the data you provided when you registered for the FC. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system.  

 

The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. email address) are stored on Emarsys servers in the EU. 

 

Emarsys uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. For the evaluation, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which represent one-pixel image files that are stored on our website. In this way it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked. With the help of so-called conversion tracking, it can also be analyzed whether a previously defined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking the link in the newsletter. 

 

Technical information is also recorded (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is only collected in pseudonymized form and is not linked to your other personal data. A direct personal reference is excluded. This data is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyzes can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients. 

 

If you would like to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. 

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Emarsys, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

  1. d) Duration of Storage

 

The data of winners will be stored until the expiry of statutory retention and limitation periods.  

 

Subject to a withdrawal of consent, the data of newsletter subscribers will be stored for the specific purpose only for an indefinite period of time. 

 

  1. e) Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the following rights against us regarding the personal data concerning you: 

– right of access, 

– right to correction or erasure, 

– right to restriction of the processing, 

– right to object to the processing, 

– right to data portability. 

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us. The competent supervisory authority is:

  1. f) Objection to or revocation of consent to processing of your data

Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on our legitimate interests, you can object to the processing. If you exercise your right to object, we will stop the processing of the data concerned. However, we reserve the right to continue processing if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which overweigh your interests, or if the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of a legal claim.
