Nature is great, but sometimes it's wet. Whether you're ascending the mountain incline, hiking the lush lowlands or just out for a weekend walk in the nearby forest, you can trust that Fjällräven's rainwear will keep you dry and comfortable all the way. Breathable, packable, made from recycled materials and using PFC-free impregnation. See you out there.
Hydratic is not a specific material, but it describes our innovative rain protection technology achieved through the use of different fabrics. We use three versions of Hydratic at Fjällräven, and for High Coast Hydratic we use the 2.5 layer version, which consists of a PU coating that is fused together with the shell fabric, resulting in waterproof garments that also transport moisture away that builds up inside the garment when you’re active.
Eco-Shell is Fjällräven’s own waterproof, durable, breathable and PFC-free recycled fabric, offering reliable weather protection without compromising the environment.
Incorporate a wool layer beneath your shell jacket for added comfort and to increase your shell garment’s ability to transport moisture away from the inside. By leveraging wool’s natural moisture-absorbing properties, the wool layer effectively creates a buffer between you and your shell garment so that you stay dryer, longer on the trail.
